Weekends at the lake...Part 2

This past weekend was my 29th birthday. (YIKES!!! Only one more year until the dreaded 3-0. NOOOOO!!!) And what better way to spend my birthday than at the lake! Based on the weather reports and the previous weekends smooth water and balmy heat, I assumed we were in for much of the same. Unfortunately, late Thursday night I received word that there was a high-wind advisory in affect until Saturday up at the lake. And they weren't kidding. I thought we were going to blow over a few times. High-winds are never a good thing when on a boat. And rough waters are never good for the majority of the water sports. AND to top things off, I came down with a bad case of the monthly's the morning we left for the lake. (BOO!) So, yes, I was envisioning a slightly different kind of weekend...but never you fear...we STILL had fun! You see, rough waters are perfect for tubing. And tubing is a perfect way to get your mind off of bad cramps...because it causes stiffness and soreness in just about every other part of your body. HA! AND the forecasted 96 degree weather was mellowed out significantly by the cool winds. SO, it was perfect tanning weather as well. And most of all, we got to spend time with more people we love. This time Lauren, Sean, Sara and the Wang's joined us. There were more ups and more downs...but again, it's very hard not to have a good time when in paradise. =)

This is by far, my favorite photo to date of my loves. I'm going to have this framed....someday.

Brooke and Vic chilling on the tubes.

Bella LOVES to put her face underwater. I'm teaching her how to blow bubbles, but it's 50/50 at this point. Sometimes she blows bubbles...sometimes she sucks water in and chokes.

BIKINI BABY! SO beyond cute.

Holy Moses look at those baby-blues! (LOVE this camera!)

Auntie Sara time...

Sean getting some big air.

Vic getting back into the swing of things...

Lauren getting ready to shred it up!

Rick and Sean being goofy

Rick wearing what he refers to as the "Red-Neck-Lawn-Chair." It's a ski vest, upside down, legs through the arm holes and zipped up...backwards. Creative.

Bella's first TUBE RIDE!! She loved it. (And yes, we went VERY slow!)
